As ORR continues to deliver essential accountability for the UK’s railways, we are looking for a talented, high-performing individual to take on the role of Deputy Director, Economics and Finance. This senior position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team, oversee critical financial and economic analysis and influence future market outcomes, taking account of the changes to the industry as part of the UK Government’s rail reform agenda and the creation of Great British Railways (GBR).

The Key Responsibilites Include:
* Leading ORR’s Economics and Finance teams, demonstrating exceptional leadership and corporate citizenship while guiding the team through a dynamic period of rail reform.
* Overseeing financial and economic analysis related to rail infrastructure, regulatory reporting, company benchmarking, and efficiency assessments.
* Providing high-quality, senior-level advice and assurance on economic and financial analysis to support other areas of regulation, strategy or health and safety work.
* Representing ORR in external engagements with government, public bodies, and industry stakeholders.
* Contributing to corporate projects and initiatives as part of ORR’s senior leadership group.
* Ensuring we deliver on business plan commitments to time and budget.
