Job summary Senior Clinical Research Fellow in Cardiology TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Intervention): The appointment is for a fixed term period of 24 months. As this post is not recognised as a 'training post', full registration with the GMC with a licence to practise is required. If the appointee does not hold right of residence in the UK, sponsorship will be required. Applicants should be ST5 level or above. The post will commence in August 2025.Current trainees need to apply for Out of Programme to take on this role, as it is not a training position. Main duties of the job Please refer to the supporting job description and person specification which will outline the duties of the role including an indicative job plan. The post holder will gain comprehensive experience in conducting high-quality research in interventional cardiology and TAVI. It is expected that the output from this will lead to publications in high impact journals and presentations at high profile conferences. Potential candidates can contact Dr J Iqbal to discuss the research projects. The successful candidate will also be able to continue some clinical work in the form of TAVI clinics and TAVI ward rounds. They will attend the TAVI MDT and be involved in TAVI CT analysis. There will also be an opportunity for the fellow to gain procedural experience in PCI and TAVI.
