Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Social Worker to join the Forensic Autism Service based at Guild Lodge and part of the Specialist Services Network. The team accepts referrals from the whole of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Trust footprint.
The successful applicant will be working as part of a dynamic and enthusiastic multi-disciplinary team providing person-centred care to adults aged over 16 with autism and who have forensic risk and other complex needs. Balancing the care and support needs of the individual as well as managing risk.
You will be responsible for the maintenance of high levels of evidence-based clinical practice, contributing to and facilitating Care Processes and Pathways.
You will provide full assessments of individual's needs and provide appropriate action and intervention.
The successful candidate will support the team around safeguarding and linking in with local authorities. The role involves working with and supporting carers as well as service users.
The team offer regular group supervision and case formulation slots to provide support and development to team members in working with this complex client group.
Main duties of the job
To accept referrals to the Forensic Autism Service; provide a full assessment of the individuals needs, and provide appropriate action.
The ability to work independently as well as within a team will also be required.
The candidate will also be required to work with multiple agencies and service providers across Lancashire & South Cumbria which will require excellent communication skills.

Education/Qualifications
Essential
1. CQSW, CSS, DipSW or equivalent Registration with Social Work England Evidence of continuing professional development Degree qualification in relevant subject or demonstrable evidence or equivalent experience relevant to field of practice (autism and/or forensic risk).
Desirable
2. Experience and knowledge of working with autistic people Experience and knowledge of working in forensic settings and with individuals who have forensic risk MSC/Diploma in relevant area.
