Role Introduction
An exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly capable Senior Business Development Manager to play a key role in the company’s ambitious growth plans by driving the acquisition of new managed services clients.
What You Will Do
* Identify new opportunities through a combination of self-generation activities and working closely with our Marketing team.
* Nurture leads through the sales cycle and own them from initial engagement all the way through to closure.
* Drive Co-Sell and Cross-Sell sales motions with partners, consultants, and colleagues across the group to generate pipeline.
* Develop win strategies for key deals, in alignment with the Advanced Value Selling Sales Methodology.
* Work with the Sales Director and Marketing team to develop value propositions and plan and execute campaigns.
* Write and/or contribute to proposals, papers, business cases, ROI analyses, or any other collateral needed as part of the sales cycle.
* Coordinate virtual bid teams (with support from Pre-Sales and Bid Management) to ensure high-quality output and alignment to win strategy.
* Work with the Sales Director and Pre-Sales to create commercial models that align with our win strategy while ensuring we achieve target margins on each deal.
* Contribute to contract negotiations on successful bids, working alongside the Sales Director and our in-house legal team.
* Understand the competitive landscape and relevant trends within our marketplace to ensure our value propositions remain relevant.
What You Will Have
* A minimum of 7+ years selling Managed Services solutions to the UK mid-market.
* Strong negotiation and closing skills.
* A proven track record of success in B2B new business sales within a complex client portfolio.
* The ability to innovate and challenge conventional thinking to push the boundaries of established practice.
* The ability to develop and articulate a clear win strategy and unique selling propositions (USPs).
* Experience of Co-Sell (with partners) and Cross-Sell (internally across the wider group) motions would be advantageous.
* Experience of selling into both public and private sectors is advantageous.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
