Support the Fire Safety Advisor establishing a "fire safety management system" across the organisation and building key working relationships internally and externally.
Support the Fire Safety Advisor on how the organisation meets its statutory obligations in respect of fire safety and security.
Support the Fire Safety Advisor in the delivery of Fire Strategy and Security Strategy including supporting policy, protocols, and procedures for all Trust sites.
Support the Fire Safety Advisor in developing appropriate strategies, guidance, and codes of practice to facilitate effective implementation of Fire Safety Policy and Security Management Policy
Support the Fire Safety Advisor in the delivery of training and audits against current fire/security legislation and fire/security practices across the Trust.
Support the Fire Safety Advisor for providing accurate fire risk assessments and action plans.
Support in providing knowledge planning techniques to deliver an overall tactical plan for dealing with fire emergencies in complex health care environments including evacuation under major incident conditions.
The successful applicant will have a proactive, professional, problem-solving approach to fire safety issues and be able to build strong working relationships with a wide range of staff to help promote a positive safety culture across the premises of the Trust and buildings where the Trust delivers care. Reporting to the Fire Safety Advisor, you will be joining an existing team where your key area of responsibility will be to assist and support in the delivery of the Fire Safety Advice, Fire Policy, Protocols and Procedures, Fire Prevention techniques including the delivery of Fire Safety Training to all grades of staff as a mandatory requirement.
You will be advising and supporting the Trust in delivering the Trust's Strategy and helping the Trust deliver outcomes to achieve compliance with both current and future requirements of the NHS HTM Fire Code and the legislative requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Orders 2005 and the Health and Safety Executive.

This role gives the opportunity for hybrid working and you will typically be asked to work in a hybrid way, working from your home and also from Trust HQ The Uffculme Centre, or any other agreed site.
