Healthcare IT Service Engineer We are seeking a knowledgeable, enthusiastic and dynamic service engineer to work within the helpdesk team. In this role you will be an important contributor to our efforts in maintaining a high service level to our existing customers. Sectra develops and sells IT systems and products for radiology, mammography, pathology and orthopedic departments. More than 1700 hospitals worldwide use Sectra’s systems daily. Within this business area we provide secure communication solutions, approved by the EU and NATO, for European government authorities, defense departments and other critical functions of society. Operations in UK & Ireland started in 2003 and is headquartered in London Stansted. Most members of the local service team work from the Stansted office with one service engineer based in Northern Ireland. The local Sectra Ltd organisation is responsible for sales, delivery and support to all Sectra customers in the region, encompassing both large national or state healthcare organisations as well as smaller private medical practices. To ensure our continued success we are now looking for a new service engineer to join our team Main responsibilities Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to Sectra customers located throughout United Kingdom and Ireland. Work closely with customers, other Sectra Ltd team members as well as Sectra product support to provide efficient resolution of customer issues. The role will be based in our Stansted office mainly working remotely towards our customers, with occasional travel to customers for on-site support work. For this position we have the following requirements: A University degree or higher in Computer Science and/or Information Technology with good or very good grades. A sincere interest in IT and ability and willingness to learn more. Organisational, social and communication skills. You must be prepared to travel throughout UK and Ireland, as well as occasionally to Sweden or other Sectra subsidiaries for training and networking. In addition, the skills and experiences below would be valuable: Experience with PACS technologies as well as medical imaging workflow and tools. Experience from working with IT helpdesk or customer service. Knowledge of DICOM, HL7 and other healthcare interoperability standards. Experience in operating systems (Windows and Windows Server) and database technologies (Microsoft SQL Server). Knowledge of Active Directory, Databases, Networking, clustering, storage and hardware (including workstations). Experience with virtual environments such as VMware. Fluency in additional languages, in particular Swedish or Spanish. Stronger academic credentials than required above. Experience with other cultures. We also value who you are outside of work.
