What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Digital Planning, Culture and Practices Director, The Data and AI Governance Lead will be responsible for defining, implementing, and overseeing governance frameworks for data and artificial intelligence across the organisation.
You'll ensure that data and AI initiatives align with strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and security standards. By fostering a culture of digital innovation and efficiency, the Data & AI Governance Lead will drive the effective use of data and AI to enhance business processes, improve decision-making, and support the company’s growth and digital transformation goals.
Central to this strategy is the upskilling of employees in AI, fostering collaboration across business Centers of Excellence (CoEs), and establishing strategic partnerships. The role involves leading a centralised team within Digital Transformation to ensure adherence to AI standards and guidelines, with a strong emphasis on AI risks and ethics.
The Data & AI Governance Lead will also oversee the AI Governance Committee, ensuring ethical and regulatory compliance, and guiding the development and implementation of AI policies and practices.
What you'll bring
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology or a related field. Candidates with a Master's or PhD in a relevant field are preferred.
With a minimum of 5 years' experience in data governance, AI implementation, or a related field, you'll possess a strong understanding of data governance principles and AI technologies, proficiency in data management tools and AI frameworks, and have experience with both structured and unstructured data.
Be a people-centric leader who has experience managing cross-functional teams, who can guide and inspire teams. Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to foster collaboration within your project teams, direct stakeholders, and external partners.
With a proven track record of successfully implementing data and AI governance frameworks, you'll be well versed in best practices related to data and AI, as well as identifying and mitigating risks associated with AI technologies.
Excellent project management skills to oversee multiple AI and data governance initiatives, and experience leading change management efforts and fostering a digital culture. Experienced in managing resources efficiently and ensuring timely delivery of projects.
This role operates as part of a global team and periodic travel to Spain and other company locations may be required.
