We are recruiting for a Stakeholder Manager to join us here at Octavius on a 1-year contract. We welcome application from both full-time and part-time candidates.
As a Stakeholder Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day engagement with the community to keep them informed about the progress of the A1331 Link Road Phase 1 project in Colchester, Essex. Your role will be crucial in ensuring effective communication and fostering positive relationships with all stakeholders, ultimately making a meaningful impact on the community in Colchester and Essex.
This significant initiative involves the construction of a 1.8km dual carriageway, including a new roundabout on the A133 and the new ‘Allen's Farm Roundabout'. The project aims to provide vital infrastructure for the Colchester Border Garden Community, supporting new homes and local economic growth.

You'll be working on. (what your role and responsibility is)
* Developing and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Parish Councils, landholders, residents, and community groups.
* Implementing initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and engagement.
* Coordinating and managing public information events, handling complaints and inquiries.
* Advocating for equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI).
* Producing and implementing the Scheme Customer & Stakeholder Plan and scheme Social Media Plan.
* Engaging with local schools, colleges, and universities for STEM activities.
* Coordinating charitable contributions and supporting community initiatives.
* Preparing and submitting reports related to social value outcomes and EDI commitments.

A team of highly motivated, dedicated professionals delivering projects across a variety of frameworks with clients such as local authorities, environmental bodies, and community groups. You will collaborate closely with the Highways Project Director and the People and Sustainability Directorate.

You have strong programme management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work autonomously.

* Experience in stakeholder management and engagement.
* Familiarity with project frameworks and stakeholder analysis.
* Experience in managing public information events and handling complaints and inquiries.
* A full UK driving licence.
