Habinteg is a leading provider of accessible and inclusive housing, with over 50 years of experience, dedicated to creating communities where everyone can thrive. We believe that having an accessible home in an inclusive neighbourhood can transform the lives of disabled people and those around them. We want communities to include disabled people, offering places to live that meet their needs and provide the highest levels of independence, choice and control over daily life.
We are a national housing association with over 3,000 properties in England, working across more than 80 local authorities and over 120 dedicated staff who are committed to exceeding tenant expectations and securing a strong and sustainable future.
To support us on our journey, we are seeking to appoint two board members: one who will be Chair of Audit, Risk and Assurance Committee and one who will also join the Investment Committee.
Chair of Audit, Risk and Assurance Committee: We are seeking a curious, experienced, and committed individual who will bring diversity of thought and inclusive leadership to ARAC and the Board. You will be financially qualified, preferably with social housing sector experience. We seek an individual who can adapt to change, think strategically, and relish the challenge of managing risk and providing assurance to the Board, whilst also building on the collaboration and trust between the executive team and the Board.
Board Member (Investment Committee): We are seeking an individual with extensive strategic experience of asset management, particularly repairs and maintenance and development. Someone who has overseen the transformation of services and has made strategic investment decisions. Previous NED experience is not essential.
We would warmly welcome interest from candidates with lived experience of disability, ethnic diversity, and social housing.
If, like us, you are driven by the desire to see a more accessible and inclusive world, we would like to hear from you. To find out more, please visit our microsite here.
