THE ROLE:
To provide insightful analysis, drive efficiency, and enhance compliance and control within Inspired Villages. The post holder will work as part of the Audit & Compliance Team, delivering independent, objective assurance and consulting services that add value, support corporate objectives, and improve operations. The role is instrumental in ensuring that Inspired Villages complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal standards, safeguarding the integrity of the organization’s operations.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Audits
* Conduct internal audits with integrity and adherence to professional standards, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
* Employ curiosity and analytical thinking to identify risks, improve processes, and contribute effectively to compliance investigations and reviews.
* Assist in developing and updating audit methodologies to reflect the latest industry practices and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of risk management, compliance obligations, and control measures.
* Monitor and evaluate the internal control environment to ensure its adequacy, efficiency, and effectiveness, making recommendations for improvements where necessary.
* Support managers and colleagues in understanding risk management, compliance, and controls.
Compliance
* Undertake compliance audits in line with the Audit Programme.
* Assist with compliance reviews as needed.
EXPERIENCE:
* Demonstrated experience in conducting and managing a variety of internal audit assignments independently from start to finish, in line with professional standards, emphasizing integrity and accuracy.
* At least three years of experience as Internal Auditor/Senior Internal Auditor preferable.
* Experience in undertaking a broad range of audit assignments in line with professional standards with minimum supervision.
* Experience in producing concise and persuasive audit reports for discussion with stakeholders.
* Experience with risk management, legal requirements, and controls, industry practices, and professional standards.
* Experience contributing to compliance investigations and reviews, with a focus on enhancing operational integrity.
* Experience working in a regulated industry.
* Previous experience in a financial crime/compliance role beneficial but not essential.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Degree or equivalent preferable.
