Requirements are to challenge the design all the way through the process including any processes that delay timely production of design documentation. Key Responsibilities To comply with company procedures and work instructions, guide notes and other information that forms part of the quality assurance, health and safety and environmental management systems. To co-ordinate multi-disciplinary design development, including design coordination meetings, buildability review and client reviews. This includes the design interface agreement, sharing of developing design information and formal issue. To establish integrated design programmes by working with the design teams and planners, tracking and monitoring design deliverables using design trackers and design development logs. To assist the Project Manager with tracking design cost to complete against agreed deliverables and instructions. Implement Barhale design process and Design Management Plan to allocated projects Facilitate interdisciplinary design review meetings Review and accept design documentation level of completeness prior to client submission, ensuring all design documentation is logged correctly Collate all necessary design information for Health & Safety file To ensure all design meets with the necessary client specifications and any national standards using the support of technical specialists where necesary Carry out and implement technical governance (including requirements schedule) at the beginning of all projects Hold Challenge workshops at commencement of project and at completion of outline design Review Particular Specifications (PS) to ensure minimum required information is submitted for procurement Any other duties commensurate with the position as may be assigned from time to time Key Measures and Targets Conformance with the Company’s Health & Safety Policy Accuracy and quality of own and sub-ordinates engineering work Ability to meet own and sub-ordinates proposal or project timescales - all within budget Ability to work within a team environment Contribution made to the development of Engineering department procedures and Systems Conformance with the Company’s Quality Assurance System Key Relationships Regional Managers, Engineering Managers, Operational Managers, and Contracts Managers Site Agents and Site team General Public Regional HSEQ team Quality and Technical Assurance Manager Communication team About you Essential HNC/D in civil, electrical, mechanical or process engineering or equivalent level qualification Process Safety/Hazard Management CDM Regulations 2015 (for Designers preferred) Demonstrable experience commensurate to the level of the role, preferably within the water/wastewater industry or other relevant sector Experience in working within a design and build environment.
