We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pastoral Leader to join our fantastic team at Manchester Enterprise Academy (MEA) This is a Grade 6, permanent post working 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. The starting salary is 27,623 and the full time equivalent is 32,115. We re looking for: A suitably qualified Pastoral Leader, who has a good understanding of current relevant issues and developments within education. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, and be able to evidence the ability to relate to all sectors of the school community. An ability to identify barriers to learning and engagement, including behaviour management strategies, is essential. Main purpose of the job: To take responsibility for providing a designated year group of students with outstanding pastoral care and guidance as well as developing positive links between home and school, working closely with parents / carers to ensure that every student will thrive and succeed To address attendance, behavioural, pastoral and welfare issues, taking a lead role within the school in addressing the needs of students who require particular support to overcome barriers to learning To work collaboratively with all school staff and external support agencies in order to support student wellbeing Providing accurate attendance, punctuality, behaviour and other pastoral data to Governors, Leaders, and staff as required To take a lead role in the supervision of the school, supporting all staff in maintaining a positive learning environment with high expectations, including out of lesson supervision/duties, on call, detention, other strategic support systems and strategic behaviour interventions.
