Role: NDT Engineer
Location: Manchester (frequent travel around the UK)
Hours: Monday-Friday (occasional weekend work)

Russell Taylor Group has two fantastic opportunities for NDT Engineers to join a testing lab in the Northwest. This is primarily a field-based opportunity requiring frequent travel across the UK. Candidates should be based within a commutable distance from Manchester, as the lab will serve as your base. There will be some overnight stays, but these will be infrequent, limiting time away from home.
Responsibilities
1. Carrying out a range of NDT inspections for various manufacturing and heavy industries around the UK (including food production, breweries, engineering, etc.) to ensure compliance with statutory and legislative requirements as well as client requirements.
2. Interpreting and evaluating test results.
3. Conducting equipment inspections and calibrations.
4. Collecting, collating, and reporting examination results with sketches.
5. Working to international standards to ensure they are continually met.
6. Presenting reports with detailed information and maintaining all records.
The Person
1. Essential to have PCN Level 2 (UT, Dye Pen, and MPI).
2. Advantageous to have Phased Array, Eddy Current, Forgings, 3.8 or 3.9.
3. Experience in testing weld geometries is desirable.
4. High level of health and safety awareness.
5. Ability to think on your feet and hit the ground running.
6. Strong communication skills as the role will be client-facing.
7. Comfortable working at heights and within confined spaces.
8. Excellent IT skills.
