Position: Urology Support Secretary – 25.5 hours
Location: Royal Stoke with cross site cover
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
1. Handle sensitive communications with tact and diplomacy.
2. Exercise judgment in dealing with queries and support inpatient waiting list management.
3. Plan and prioritize tasks, ensuring timely correspondence and document management.
4. Provide information and advice to patients, relatives, and carers.
5. Follow departmental policies and improve service delivery.
6. Use office equipment and manage supplies.
7. Process documents and meeting notes, undertake surveys for specific projects, and act independently within guidelines and protocols.
Qualifications
A good general education, previous clerical experience is advantageous but not essential as full training will be given to the successful candidate.
The post will be based at Royal Stoke University Hospital but may require cross site working and there may be a need for the post holder to travel between Royal Stoke University Hospital (Stoke-on-Trent) and the County Hospital (Stafford) sites.

Qualifications
* Good general education to include GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
* Educated to NVQ Level 2, OCR 2 or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Previous experience in a clerical post.
Personal Qualities
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Ability to work with confidential information.
* Ability to work in a demanding, pressurized environment.
