Job Title: Paint Technician
Working Hours: Monday-Thursday, 07:30-16:15 | Friday, 07:30-11:30
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Paint Sprayer to join our Finishing Department, where you will be responsible for applying paint and specialized coatings to a range of components. The ideal candidate will have expertise in surface preparation, masking, coating application, and finishing techniques, with a strong commitment to maintaining quality and meeting regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare component surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming.
Ensure optimal surface conditions for proper paint adhesion and a smooth finish.
Apply a variety of coatings, including primers, topcoats, heat-resistant, anti-corrosive, and other protective layers as required.
Inspect finished components to verify uniformity, quality, and compliance with specifications.
Operate and maintain all painting equipment, including spray booths, spray guns, and mixers.
Comply with all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Keep accurate records of materials used, work performed, and inspection results.Preferred Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in spray painting and surface preparation.
Familiarity with spraying components.
Background in the Aerospace industry (preferred, but not essential).
Strong attention to detail.A trade test will be conducted during the interview, lasting 1-2 hours. The test will include:
Masking a component using various tapes.
Demonstration of knife skills.
A spraying demonstration.
