About the role:
* Monday to Friday
* £Negotiable salary & benefits package
* Hours: 40 hours per week
* Contract type: Permanent
* Hybrid working available
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the company’s growth by helping secure new business, while also supporting business development and marketing initiatives. Duties will include:
* Opportunity Identification: Monitor and identify new business opportunities via portals.
* Portal Management: Maintain portal logins and update key documents (e.g., insurance, health and safety).
* Submission Preparation: Assist in prequalification and tender submissions, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
* Content Writing: Draft non-technical sections of bid submissions.
* Collaboration: Work with internal and external teams to compile tenders.
* Accuracy Check: Ensure all tender documents are accurate before submission.
* Proposal Management: Coordinate and track RFP submissions.
* Tender Database: Maintain a tender bank for future submissions.
* Feedback: Seek feedback on unsuccessful tenders and implement improvements.
* Contract Awards: Record and track contract awards.
* Business Development Support: Assist in identifying and contacting potential customers in Ireland, the UK, and beyond.
Criteria:
* Experience: Minimum of 2+ years in a similar role, or 4+ years with a business-related degree.
* Education: Degree in Business or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
* Strong report writing and literacy skills.
* Excellent planning and project management abilities.
* High attention to detail with the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and within a team.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a flexible approach.
* Knowledge of the construction or engineering industry.
* Grade C or above in GCSE Maths and English.
* Access to a car and the willingness to travel when required.
