Our Client is one of the leading Industrial Services Companies in Europe and works on many large Energy sites. They provide many services including Mechanical and Electrical, Scaffolding, Industrial painting, and Insulation.
They are looking for a qualified Health and Safety Manager on their larger projects on a Nuclear Decommissioning Site in Cumbria.
Responsibilities:
* Advise and assist site management in the preparation of Safety & Environmental Plans, Risk Assessments, and method statements for various projects in line with client SLA's / KPI's.
* Work with on-site management in the development, delivery, implementation, and maintenance of Business Unit specific HSE policies and procedures.
* Prepare safety and environmental reports as required.
* Conduct safety and environmental audits and inspections in accordance with the Integrated Management system.
* Prepare and deliver training courses/toolbox talks to ensure full knowledge of H&S requirements and techniques.
* Report to Line Management of HSE activities.
* Conduct loss event investigations and prepare reports for internal/external purposes.
* Provide HSE advice and direction to on-site management, staff, and contractors.
* Assist site management in the periodic preparation and presentation of seminars/training for clients, own employees, and other interested parties/stakeholders.
* Share information, suggestions, and observations to create consistency throughout the Company.
* Assist other members of the team in across business unit audits.
* Meet company Occupational Health and Safety goals.
* Liaise with Health & Safety stewards on a regular basis ensuring consultation and participation of the workforce.
* Drive behavioural culture change programs.
