The engineering department at our client in Chesterfield requires a dedicated engineering planner to build and communicate weekly and monthly maintenance schedules to assist in the completion of planned maintenance activities, ad-hoc repairs, and statutory inspections. The Role: Use of the CMMS system to ensure both preventive and reactive work is planned effectively. Use the CMMS system to keep maintenance records up to date. Issue work orders to the teams and monitor completion and progress against tasks. Day to day planning of reactive tasks in line with business needs. Producing weekly plans in advance for engineering resource Planning all work and resources are in place for scheduled maintenance outages. Work closely with the mechanical and electrical engineering managers to ensure all engineering tasks are carried out safely. LOTO procedures, risk assessments and SOPS are prepared and issued to work parties, and develop new ones where necessary. Ensure that parts and services are purchased economically and available for planned work activities. Use SAP system to ensure that critical spares are always held in stock. Support the engineering team to build programs of work into engineering shut plans. Have an active involvement in maintenance activities at the mill Supervise contract resource to execute the engineering plan to achieve shut down timings and mill availability. Required for the role: Completed a mechanical engineering apprenticeship Highly proficient with CMMS and SAP systems. Experience in mechanical maintenance engineering. Proficient in Microsoft project or excel. Proven experience in maintaining complex automated manufacturing equipment.
