SEND Science Teacher – Immediate Start Protocol Education is seeking an experienced SEND teacher to join a specialist school on a long-term/permanent basis. The school works with students who have Autism, as well as severe and complex needs, and we’re looking for someone who can bring their expertise in science to this rewarding role. In this position, you will be helping students engage with key scientific concepts, adapted to meet their individual needs. Experience or qualifications in special educational needs is preferred, but not essential. More importantly, we’re looking for someone with a passion for science and the ability to make it accessible to students with diverse learning profiles. Key Responsibilities: Delivering science lessons tailored to students with Autism and complex needs, using hands-on experiments, sensory activities, and simplified explanations. Applying scientific methods to develop personalized learning plans and strategies, helping students understand scientific principles through varied approaches. Working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team of specialists to support the educational, behavioral, and emotional needs of each student. Using innovative techniques to foster curiosity in subjects like biology, physics, and chemistry, and helping students make real-world connections to science.
