This Secondary and Post-16 SEND school, based in Cramlington, Northumberland is looking to appoint a passionate SEMH Learning Support Assistant to work in Key Stage 3 and 4 classes on a full-time basis. Working in this Secondary and Post-16 SEND school as part of an established team, the desired SEMH Learning Support Assistant will be working on a small group sized basis with pupils with SEND including SEMH, Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties as well as Attachment and Trauma. This full-time SEMH Learning Support Assistant role is long term from November ongoing with the possibility of a permanent vacancy for the right person.
The desired SEMH Learning Support Assistant will have:
* Experience of working with primary or secondary school aged children
* Experience of working with pupils with SEND
* A passion for the progress of SEND secondary school pupils
* An ability to work as part of a team
* An ability to deal with fast-paced situations.
