The Role: Head Housekeeper in Bath
Were on the lookout for someone whos not just a leader, but a visionary in the world of housekeeping. As our Head Housekeeper, youll take charge of our beautiful properties across Bath, ensuring they shine with the PureStay standard of excellence. Youll also help us maintain top-notch standards across our entire UK portfolio, bringing your flair for quality and your eye for detail to every corner of our operations.
What Youll Be Doing
Every day is different, but heres a taste of what your role will involve:
* Leadership with a Personal Touch:Lead, inspire, and work alongside our housekeeping team, creating a positive environment where everyone thrives. Youll be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing the team, ensuring everyone knows whats expected and feels supported in their roles.
* Quality Control Guru:Ensure every property is spotless and guest-ready through regular spot-checks and audits. Youll oversee seasonal work, such as spring cleaning and post-maintenance reinstatements, to ensure every property is always in top condition.
* Innovator at Heart:Constantly look for ways to improve our cleaning operations, making our service even more efficient and our guests even happier. Youll be key in developing and refining our training programs, ensuring that all team members are up-to-date with the best practices and techniques.
* Hands-On Problem Solver:From resolving unexpected maintenance issues to managing housekeeping stocks, youll be the go-to person for getting things done. Youll assist the team in identifying and reporting maintenance needs through our online portal, and step in to help when something needs immediate attention.
* Inventory & Supplies Manager:Conduct periodic audits of our serviced accommodation inventories to ensure everything is in perfect order. Youll manage supplier contracts, keep an eye on housekeeping stocks, and ensure were getting the best value for our purchases. Ordering cleaning materials, managing laundry standards, and overseeing delivery and stock levels will also be part of your daily routine.
* Safety & Compliance Champion:Ensure that all staff under your supervision are aware of COSHH regulations and comply with them. Youll also ensure that staff wear the correct uniform and use the appropriate protective clothing as required, keeping safety and professionalism at the forefront of operations.
* Collaborative Planner:Work closely with the PureStay reservation team for effective communication and planning. Youll help plan workloads, allocate duties, and create staff rotas, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
* Performance & Development Coach:Monitor your teams performance, conduct regular reviews, and support their professional growth. Youll handle administrative tasks related to the housekeeping team, including budgeting, procurement, and ensuring accurate timesheet submissions.
What Were Looking For
We want someone who is passionate, proactive, and ready to make this role their own. Heres what will help you succeed:
* Experience:Youve got 4-6 years in housekeeping, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, and you know what it takes to keep everything running smoothly.
* People Skills:Youre a natural leader who knows how to motivate and bring out the best in your team.
* Detail-Oriented:You have an eagle eye for detail and wont rest until everything is perfect.
* Problem-Solver:Youre resourceful, quick-thinking, and always ready to tackle challenges head-on.
* Passion for Cleanliness:You take pride in your work and understand the impact a clean, well-maintained space has on guests.
* Drivers License & Vehicle:A valid UK driving license and access to your own vehicle are essential for this role.
