We are looking for a Stage and Props Technician to work collaboratively with all members of the department ensuring effective and efficient technical support for all productions.
As a Stage and Props Technician, no two days are the same, some of the tasks you could be doing are: working at height, basic carpentry, rigging for theatre, use of theatrical firearms, abrasive wheels, sewing, access equipment operation, painting, knot tying, food preparation, use of hand tools, power tools, chain hoist rigging, manual handling, rope access and have even been known to do ice sculpting as part of the pre-show set up. To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have the following knowledge and experience:
* A flexible and adaptable approach.
* The ability to work within a team.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Being comfortable in front of a large audience.
* An interest in technical Theatre.
This is a full-time, fixed term contract for 9 months. You will be working an average of 48 hours per week over the year. Evening and weekend working is required.
