Position: Senior Project Manager Location: London or Cambridge - Hybrid (3 days in office) Employment type: Full-time regular The job We are looking for Senior Project Managers responsible for overseeing and managing complex, high-impact transformative projects within AVEVA. This role involves strategic planning, execution, and leadership, ensuring that projects align with AVEVA’s strategic objectives, are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The Senior Project Manager plays a critical role in driving innovation and excellence in project management. Responsibilities Analyze project proposals to identify time frame, funding limitations and appropriate process for accomplishing projects. Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks. Provide guidance and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle and confer with project staff to outline work plan. Establish work plan and staffing for project activities, iterations or phases, and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel. Implement project communication plan. Perform risk assessment and implement mitigation plans. Monitor project activities, ensuring the currency, quality and integrity of the information, while providing consistency in content and “look and feel” across the enterprise. Ensure that project goals are accomplished and are in line with business objectives. Assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority to project personnel. Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure that the project progresses on schedule and within budget. Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required. Establish standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation. Continuously benchmark project management performance to identify improvements and achieve higher capability maturity in project and portfolio management. Establish good working relationships with external service providers Experience Track record of delivering Enterprise scale ERP or Business Application type projects. Strong organizational, planning, and monitoring skills with evidence of overseeing complex projects from initiation to completion. Proven ability to identify and manage ambiguity and address issues as they arise to keep projects on track. Ability to build consensus and manage diverse, group-wide business stakeholders through influence. Experience of leading teams through IT and process changes and ensuring smooth transitions. Ideally experience working within Blue Chip organizations (FTSE, Fortune, Global brands). Experience of working with System Integrators and specialist vendors in project delivery Production of comprehensive project documentation in line with the required process and standards. An understanding of program authorities and artefacts used for managing projects in a program delivery environment. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field; project management and/or general business management; or equivalent, related IT experience. Project management training and certification (PMP, Prince II or similar.) AVEVA requires all successful applicants to undergo and pass a comprehensive background check before they start employment.
