Job summary There is currently an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 to join the Urgent Community Response and Hospital at Home in H&R. You will work within a large multidisciplinary team offering specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and Therapy intervention. You will need to be able to work as part of a team and on your own, frequently using your own initiative. Excellent communication skills, organisational skills, enthusiasm, commitment and ability to negotiate across a wide range of agencies are also vital in this post. and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the leadership development programme, and the Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. This programme aims to: Explore leadership within the NHS Promote Trust Values and Behaviours Develop your Leadership effectiveness and skills Practitioner level in quality improvement, equipping you with the skills to champion, lead and complete quality improvement within your role After you complete this four and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses dependent upon your role and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7 Main duties of the job The role will require being involved with clients with a range of multiple medical, social and emotional problems, as well as a substantial amount of home visits. The ability to travel independently is therefore an essential part of this post. The team currently provides a 7 day service so there is an expectation for the successful candidate to be included in the cover for weekend working. The service aims to enable individuals to maximise their independence at home and to support timely discharge and prevent avoidable admission to hospital or long term care.
