Pastry Sous Chef - Brockenhurst - £16.50 Hotel
Role Overview:
Location: Brockenhurst
£16.50 p/h Hotel
5/7 days, 48 hours per week. Hourly rate includes tronc and tips
As the Pastry Sous Chef you will report directly to the Head Chef and fill their position when absent. You will be responsible for preparing and presenting the food as well as designing new dishes that can be offered to the customers. Part of your role will be to train and develop the skills of the other chefs within the kitchen and supervise them when necessary. You will be actively involved in ordering and storing the food produce and ensuring that the potential profitability is maximized whilst maintaining customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will also need to be confident, self-motivated, driven, and be able to hit the ground running.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
To develop & assist the Jnr Chefs in the kitchen
To produce and present dishes to meet the required standard
To run a section within a kitchen and the full kitchen in absence of the Head Chef
To assist in monitoring and maintaining quality of food produced
What You Need To Be a Successful:
Previous experience in a similar role as a Pastry Chef
Experience cooking with fresh produce and to a high standard
A creative flair with a passion for the hospitality industry
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Educated to the NVQ level or equivalent, not essential
