The Role
We are looking for a M&A / Corporate Development Director on a contractual basis for a period of 8-12 weeks to support our CFO on an interim basis. This role will lead the execution of M&A transactions. The candidate shall support the CFO in evaluating investment opportunities, understanding financial, tax and legal due diligence, negotiating transaction legal agreements, and assisting with deal structuring and execution. The successful candidate must be willing and able to work on transactions involving targets based in the US with the associated difference in time zones. This requires a high level of flexibility and adaptability, as the role demands real-time collaboration across geographies. Effective communication and coordination will be central to ensuring seamless transaction processing and achieving strategic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading M&A activity in support of the CFO
* Transaction execution
* Investment Analysis & Deal Support
* Conduct financial modelling, valuation analysis, and understand the implications of due diligence on prospective deals.
* Support deal structuring, negotiations, and transaction execution.
* Perform in-depth financial analysis on target companies, business models, and market trends.
* Identify risks, synergies, and value drivers to support investment decision-making.
* Work closely with external advisors, auditors, and legal teams to facilitate transactions.
* With support of the CFO and legal advisors, negotiate purchase agreements and other legal documents.
* Assist in preparing investment memorandums, board presentations, and financial reports.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
You will have;
* Proven experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance
* Strong track record in evaluating and executing financial transactions
* Experience collaborating with due diligence teams, legal advisors, and other external advisors
* Experience in negotiating legal agreements with support from legal advisors.
* Understanding of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and market analysis
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
* Collaborative mindset with the ability to manage stakeholders
* Experience in deal structuring and transaction execution
* Familiarity with investment memorandums and board presentations
* Understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, and tax implications.
