Role: Sales Manager
Location: Midlands, UK (Hybrid Working)
About the Company:
The organization is a rapidly expanding business specializing in the installation and maintenance of public EV charging stations and commercial rooftop Solar PV installations. It is seeking a skilled and experienced Sales Manager to drive sales growth, manage client relationships, and ensure seamless coordination across departments. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge of the EV installation industry, particularly in public charging infrastructure, and possess a strong understanding of the design and ICP element. Experience with Solar PV and broader electrical systems is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sales Strategy Development: Develop, demonstrate, and execute a high-impact sales strategy aligned with the company’s business goals to drive growth.
* Client Relationship Management: Present new business opportunities to prospective clients while strengthening relationships with existing customers to ensure high satisfaction levels.
* Departmental Coordination: Oversee outputs across departments in line with internal KPIs, ensuring all activities support overarching sales and business objectives.
* Team Leadership: Build, grow, and manage a high-performing sales team, fostering a collaborative, results-driven environment and mentoring team members to achieve individual and team targets.
* Communication and Influence: Serve as the primary point of contact between clients and internal teams, managing information flow, setting clear expectations, and addressing escalations as necessary.
* Report Writing: Prepare detailed reports analyzing sales performance, market trends, and customer needs to inform strategic adjustments.
* Customer Satisfaction: Respond promptly and effectively to customer requirements, managing both internal and external expectations to ensure long-term satisfaction and trust.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Industry Knowledge: Extensive experience in the EV installation industry, particularly with public charging station installation and maintenance activities using DC chargers.
* Sales Acumen: A proven track record of developing and implementing successful sales strategies and securing new business.
* Exceptional Communication: Superior delegation, communication, and influence skills with expertise in managing both client relationships and internal team dynamics.
* Technical Understanding: Strong familiarity with ICP processes and Solar PV installations is highly beneficial.
* Electrical Industry Background: Broader experience in the electrical industry is a strong advantage.
* Reporting Skills: Proficiency in preparing clear, insightful reports to guide business strategy.
* Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly expanding business environment.
Qualifications:
* A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
* At least three years of experience in sales within the EV installation industry or ten years in the broader electrical industry.
* Proficiency in CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
