What you'll do
At Octopus Energy Services, we put the customer's experience at high priority, so you'll carry out the work respectfully at their property. From day one you'll be learning about new technologies and getting awesome training to give you the skills to assist the installation engineer.
You'll be responsible for:
1. Working as part of a team to install low carbon technology in customers' homes - starting with Air Source Heat Pumps
2. Using your knowledge and experience of heat pump installations to deliver an amazing experience
3. Reviewing and collaborating on technical specifications and mechanical drawings
4. Working with an electrician to commission Air Source Heat Pumps
5. Continuously learning about new technologies at our innovative R&D training centre
What do we need from you?
1. G3 (unvented cylinder) qualification OR proven experience
2. Experience in the installation of boilers - it's a plus if you know about Air Source Heat Pumps
3. Experience as a plumbing and heating engineer with knowledge of heating system design and the ability to fault find
4. Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
You may also have qualifications such as WRAS Water Supply Regs, Gas safe certification, UHW10/HWSS or the BPEC L3 heat pump installation, but these are not essential!

The next steps
We do things a little differently around here. If successful in your eligibility questions, we'll invite you to complete our online blended assessment. This is made up of multiple-choice questions and three short interview questions. You'll be scored fairly by a real person and if you stand out to us, we'll invite you to an in-person recruitment event where you can show us what you've got.
