They are currently seeking a Senior Buyer to join their team at their Engineering Centre of Excellence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a strategic procurement function, developing and managing supplier relationships across the UK and Europe. As a Senior Buyer, your role will be pivotal in supporting the delivery of Manufacturing Programmes. You will be responsible for developing strategic supplier relationships in the UK and Europe, ensuring the timely delivery of technically compliant materials and services. Your duties will extend from sourcing and contracting suppliers to managing these relationships and resolving any supply constraints. You will also actively drive supplier improvement activities where necessary, identify supply chain risks, and support mitigation activities. Develop and deliver strategy for high value materials and critical suppliers Create Procurement inputs such as RFIs and RFQs in support of international bid campaigns Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, lead time and commercial terms Facilitate problem resolution including invoice, technical, quality issues Manage supplier relationships and facilitate supplier reviews Identify supply chain risks and proactively support mitigation activity What you bring: As the ideal candidate for the Senior Buyer position, you bring a wealth of experience in engineering supply chain and procurement within a manufacturing environment. Your proficiency with SAP or other MRP systems will be invaluable in this role. You have proven ability to evaluate and negotiate standard commercial terms & contracts, coupled with experience in first-time sourcing/new product development. Your established negotiation skills with internal stakeholders and strategic partners will be key to your success in this role. Additionally, your ability to present data/information effectively in group settings will be highly beneficial.
