Are you passionate about developing people and driving change? Kellanova is seeking a dynamic Capability and Development Lead to join our team at the Wrexham plant. In this role, you will provide cover and support to the HRBP, ensuring continuity of Employee Relations and risk management for the site. As the strategic leader for People Capability at Wrexham, you will drive a robust development process for all employees, ensuring adherence to statutory and regulatory standards, and fostering talent development through Personal Development Plans, Growth Competencies, and Leadership Development. Your goal will be to steer the site towards KWS compliance, aligning with the capability principles and requirements of the People Centre.
This role is primarily based at the Wrexham plant but may involve travel to Media City and the Manchester Plant for cross-functional collaboration. Occasional international travel may also be required with notice. Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, you will lead the Capability Team, working closely with the wider HR team and partnering with Operations and Technical Teams.
A Taste of What Youll Be Doing
* Strategic Leadership: Design and lead the Wrexham Plant People Capability strategy, implementing change management initiatives, including culture change interventions.
* Training and Succession Planning: Develop and ensure training plans for all employees are aligned with business requirements, including succession plans.
* Best Practice Development: Create and implement best practice capability, development policies, procedures, and supporting systems.
* Stakeholder Management: Manage training and development of customer relations, liaising with external professional bodies, consultants, and local Trade Union bodies. Support Business Units and departments in designing, developing, and implementing training initiatives to achieve Plant objectives. Lead and coordinate the Plants SOP/SWI development programmes.
* People Centre of Excellence Contribution: Actively contribute to the People Centre Of Excellence and participate as a CoE member for required CoEs.
* Coaching and Training: Serve as a coach for people development at all levels of the organisation, driving the implementation of corporate development initiatives such as Growth Competencies and central development programmes. Act as a trainer as needed.
* Team Leadership: Lead the Capability Team and provide cover and support to HRBP to ensure continuity of Employee Relations and risk management for the site. Attend Employee Relations meetings as HR representation when required.
Were Looking for Someone With:
* Operational training and/or development background with management experience.
* Excellent people development skills, including coaching, mentoring, and facilitation skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and develop relationships across all levels of the organisation.
* Thorough knowledge of new developments, legislation, and Employee Relations policies relating to training and development.
* People management skills and the ability to lead, develop, and gain the respect of a professional/specialist team.
* Proven ability to design and implement strategic initiatives that drive organisational change and development.
