Community Nurse Required for NHS Orkney

About the Role
NHS Orkney is seeking a dedicated and experienced Community Nurse to join their team on a short-term contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Registered Nurse who is looking to make a difference in the community. This short-term contract offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic nursing environment while contributing positively to patient care in the community.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in community settings.
* Conduct assessments, plan and implement care for patients with diverse health needs.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Document all patient interactions in compliance with policies and procedures.
Requirements
* Previous community nursing experience is essential with a minimum of 18 months post-graduate experience.
* Nursing skills include injections, wound care, end of life care (including use of syringe drivers), leg ulcer assessments (including use of doppler machines), bladder/bowel assessments.
* Full registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) with no restrictions.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Must hold a current U.K driving license and use of own car.
Assignment Details
The role will be day shifts Monday to Friday. There will be an occasional on-call requirement. Accommodation will be provided and travel expenses can be claimed.
