Position Responsibilities
* This senior position reports to the Global Controller and the Senior Finance Director of EMEA & SAL, and is responsible for the integrity of our financial statements including the timely and accurate submission of monthly results in compliance with US GAAP and is responsible for all aspects of our control environment throughout the world.
* We are seeking a hands-on leader with a 10-year+ track record of success in both business partnership and accounting that is comfortable with both US GAAP, local GAAP and management reporting.
* This position is responsible for priority setting within the regional controllership team and able to drive improvements.
* Demonstrate a strong tone at the top across the region with respect to corporate governance, controls, accountability, and commitment to excellence.
* Responsible for financial leadership and a key steward of DFS assets. Establish financial processes that promote a strong internal control environment to assure the records of the company are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, Dover accounting manual, and other regulatory requirements, as applicable.
* Meet DFS and Dover Corporation reporting requirements including monthly reporting, quarterly reporting, year-end, and tax reporting, including consolidation and review of financial information from EMEA locations.
* Oversee regional execution of DFS audit program including balance sheet reviews, critical controls monitor and internal control remediation/improvements.
* Ensure regional compliance for timeliness and accuracy with country specific statutory reporting requirements.
* Upholds commitment to quality through robust review and analysis.
* Minimize tax burden through effective business planning. Annual coordination of Tax inputs for Corporate Office.
* Action oriented with respect to continuous improvement of management reporting and a driving force of post-implementation enhancements of OneStream EPM.
* Builder of trusted relationships across DFS EMEA leadership team, DFS Finance, Dover Finance (Controllership, Systems, FP&A, Internal Audit) and external auditors.
* Viewed internally and externally as relationship liaison between DFS EMEA and Dover Business Services (shared services) and capable of driving process improvement in Accounts Receivable, including credit and collection, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger.
* Able to source best practices across the region to implement consistent accounting policy that spans commercial, operational and technical accounting across our sites.
* Assist with special projects on group wide initiatives, Kaizen events, process simplification and DFS specific projects as requested.
* Support all M&A activity, compliance initiatives and financial reporting in a detailed and hands-on manner.
* Provide technical support and coaching to regional financial staffs. Ensure Dover initiatives and requirements are communicated to and implemented by local financial teams.

Qualification Requirements
* Minimum BS in Accounting, Finance, or other related discipline.
* Chartered Accounting certification (or equivalent) required.
* Exemplary knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP, statutory, internal controls, and both management and financial accounting required.
* 10+ years’ experience in professional accounting with proven technical expertise and leadership in driving efficient US GAAP, statutory and management reporting including operational finance.
* Mix of leadership in public accounting (Big 4) and industry experience (manufacturing).
* Experience with OneStream or another modern EPM/consolidation tool.
* Experience with Oracle R/12 or another modern ERP.
* Ability to travel up to 30%, domestically and abroad, and to work varied or extended hours to accommodate time-zones.
* Experience working in multi-national environment; collaborates effectively across cultures, experience levels, etc.
