This role is permanent but subject to funding. What will the role look like? The post holder will be based within Forward Leeds, the Integrated Drug and Alcohol service in Leeds. The Young Person’s team deliver drug and alcohol related interventions for young people (up to 21 years, or 24 years, depending on vulnerability) across Leeds. The team works on a predominantly outreach basis, delivering one-one sessions in a variety of community settings, including school and home visits. This post will focus on the under 18’s cohort. The role may also include delivering targeted group work sessions, drop-ins and service promotion at events. This will be through local community events, city wide events and at other public facing venues and arenas. The candidate will need to be engaging and comfortable with approaching and talking to members of the public and delivering opportunistic brief interventions. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required. What we are looking for?
