About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. As an HCA, you will play an essential role in supporting patients with daily activities, assisting healthcare professionals, and providing high-quality care. You will be working directly with patients to ensure their well-being and comfort, helping them to live with dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide personal care assistance to patients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
* Monitor patients’ health and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
* Assist with mobility, positioning, and transfers of patients.
* Help patients with daily activities, including eating, drinking, and engaging in therapeutic activities.
* Provide emotional and social support to patients, offering a friendly and reassuring presence.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on patient care.
* Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare staff to deliver excellent patient care.
* Assist in delivering care for patients with specific needs (e.g., elderly, disabled, or those with chronic illnesses).
* Support the delivery of medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
Essential Skills
Qualifications & Experience:
* Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or in a similar role is preferred, but not essential.
* A caring and empathetic nature with a genuine passion for helping others.
* Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
* Good communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
* Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures in a healthcare environment.
* A flexible and positive attitude, with the ability to adapt to changing needs.
