In this pivotal role, you will oversee both daily financial operations and strategic financial management. Your focus will be on cost control, efficiency improvements, and supporting the growth of a production-driven business, playing a crucial part in its financial success.Key Responsibilities:
* Management of a small financial team whose key deliverable's are: accounts payable/receivable, credit control, payroll, bank reconciliations, and other core financial processes.
* Prepare and presentation of the monthly management accounts, including journal entries, prepayments, accruals, and depreciation of fixed assets.
* Financial Reporting; Analysing the cash flow forecasts, budget variances, and P&L reports to support strategic decision-making.
* Lead year-end audits and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
* Oversee supplier payments and resolve any sales invoice issues.
* Prepare and submit VAT and PAYE returns.
* Supervise product costing, inventory control, and process efficiencies.
* Cross-Department Collaboration; Working with production, sales, and operations teams to provide valuable financial insights.
