We welcome applications from Senior Clinical Fellows, and the post is open to intensive care physicians, anaesthetists, medical or emergency medicine doctors.

* Medical Degree
* A minimum of four months experience in intensive care medicine
Main duties of the job
Salford ICU is a busy tertiary referral neuroscience and general adult ICU with capacity for up to 40 beds over 5 Pods covering medicine (including respiratory and COVID), surgery, neurosciences, renal, and many other tertiary services. With the addition of the new James Potter building, we expect our workload in specialist services such as trauma, neurosciences, and surgery to continue to expand.
Fairfield Hospital is a busy district general hospital serving a large population in the towns of Bury and Rochdale. It has a busy Emergency Department and provides general medicine inpatient care with multiple specialist services including respiratory, cardiology, and stroke. The intensive care unit provides resuscitation and stabilization for level 3 patients as well as high dependency care for level 2.
We have a strong history of successfully supporting fellows through higher professional examinations and attainment of substantive posts. We would be supportive of overseas graduates in working towards a CESR in Intensive Care Medicine. There would be the opportunity to gain skills and accreditation in the US including ECHO, as well as mirroring special skills modules in Quality Improvement, Neurosciences, Education, etc.
The ICU runs a fully accredited training programme which has an excellent local reputation. The successful candidates would be expected to participate in the programme and ongoing appraisal.
