Are you passionate about education and dedicated to making a real difference in children’s lives? A small, friendly, and rural primary school near Driffield is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to support academic interventions and SAT preparation within a mixed Year 5 & 6 classroom.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position starting after the February half term. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to:
Deliver targeted academic interventions to individuals and small groups.
Support pupils in achieving their full potential, with a specific focus on SAT preparation.
Foster a positive and engaging learning environment for students.
Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
Assist with classroom management and general support as required.
What We Are Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience working with children in Key Stage 2, particularly Years 5 and 6.
Knowledge of the SAT curriculum and intervention strategies.
A proactive and positive approach to supporting pupils’ academic and emotional needs.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
