⏰ Application Deadline : Saturday 3th May at 23:55pm ⏰ A Senior Infrastructure Engineer builds, administers, transitions, supports and maintains infrastructure services throughout the service lifecycle, according to the departmental policy and Home Office strategy. What will you be doing? You will work in a team of Infrastructure Engineers ensuring services are integrated, delivered and operated as required. You will work with and support third parties in providing infrastructure services and with technical architects to translate architectural designs into operations. You will provide input into overall management activities such as workforce planning, budgeting, technology roadmaps, projects and tasks. Strong experience in the following technologies: Azure Local (Edge computing) Azure Virtual Desktop Azure Policy and Governance Azure PaaS (Azure App service, Azure SQL) Azure Networking Azure Virtual Machines Azure Kubernetes Service Terraform Azure DevOps Your skills for this role You'll have a demonstrable passion for Infrastructure Engineering, with the following skills or strong experience in: Manage and administer the Microsoft Azure environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy and financial governance and security. Design, develop and implement efficient, highly available, multi-region solutions within Microsoft Azure. Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) leveraging cloud native tooling to ensure automated and consistent platform deployments. Support cloud adoption of applications as they are being transformed and/or modernised. Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to address and resolve technical escalations. Advising on future technology changes and innovations and define best practice for network improvements and information security. Key engineering principles and standards, and the ability to inspire others to follow these.
