• Work within the Estates and Facilities operational team to provide a safe, appropriate, and cost-effective environment for effective healthcare delivery.
• In addition to providing specialist expertise in a core professional trade (e. plumbing, electrical, carpentry), the post holder will undertake further training and build wider generalist skills, enabling them to undertake jobs outside of this when necessary.
• In addition to your core skill (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, electrical) the post holder will undertake further basic cross-trade training to further their skills.
Assist with the Management and implementation of the planned Building/Engineering/Electrical maintenance programmes for the Trust to ensure compliance with key standards, both legislative and performance related (as defined through Service Level Agreement) – also meeting where necessary the requirements of the NHSLA.
Assist in delivering a reactive maintenance service – including shift rota in accordance with the Service Level Agreement such that the Trusts Building/Mechanical/Electrical systems and equipment is returned to safe and effective operation as soon as possible after failure or significant variance of operation is identified.
Deputise for the Estates Team Leaders as required to lead the Estates operational team.
To be part of the Estates on-call service and participate in a 7-day rota as required by the needs of the service.
