We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Operations professional to lead our long-established flagship service HUB in Milton Keynes.
The HUB provides Warehouse & Logistics, Installation, IMAC and Repair Services for products manufactured by Diebold Nixdorf and other 3rd party providers to our Banking and Retail customers in UK and Ireland.
This is a senior role within Diebold Nixdorf that requires experience in Operational Management, Service Logistics, Repair and Supply Chain Management along with demonstrable experience cultivating a high performing team.
As the Head of Operations, you will be accountable for the safety of our employees, the industry leading quality of products and services delivered from our Milton Keynes HUB and as the P&L owner, ensuring that we consistently deliver on time and within budget exceeding our customer expectations.
You will foster and drive a culture of continual improvement using Lean practices including 5S to improve the operation and efficiency, ensure we are constantly optimised to deliver evolving customer projects and services.
Responsibilities
* Accountable of every element of safety within the Hub facility
* Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring across all staff levels making DN a great place to work
* Directs the efforts of Managers and Operations staff to perform their role to the highest levels
* Owns the P&L for the HUB, supports/drives budgeting, analytics and long-term capacity and demand planning to meet the needs of the Service business
* Partners and develops influence with cross-functional product, technical and support organizations to ensure alignment and coordination of Services provided
* Implements and utilizes risk mitigation and issues management procedures to reduce potential negative impacts to overall program effectiveness.
* Analyzes performance measures and trends and drives improvements in every aspect of the business
* Recommends improvements in delivery methods, cost expenditures, equipment usage and procedures based on statistical and process analyses.
* Actively manages open issues and works with senior leaders and internal partners on key decisions.
* Improve process flows using LEAN practices and embed a culture of continual improvement
* Ensure each area of the facility is adherent to 5S standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
* Typically has 8-10 years of experience leading a similar business
* Experienced in logistics operations, P&L management in a customer delivery environment.
* Exceptional leadership skills at all levels, ensuring alignment with operational goals and maintaining a professional, efficient, and safe facility.
* Strong stakeholder management and relationship building across all levels.
* Has achieved a LEAN qualification and has proven LEAN continuous improvement experience
* Experience with 5S practices
