Electrician Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join our Property Maintenance and Construction Department working within our Ashington / Durham maintenance teams.
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for undertaking all electrical repairs and associated multiskilled repairs to both domestic and commercial properties to a high-quality standard whilst delivering excellent customer service.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have a flexible approach and experience of working within a domestic and commercial property maintenance and target-driven environment. Job Responsibilities:
1. Have a sound working knowledge of your trade discipline and exhibit sound knowledge of the wider building construction sector, understanding components, materials, building trades, and applicable regulations.
2. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the onsite supervisor.
3. Service equipment and ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all buildings, equipment, and systems to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements.
4. Work on fire alarm testing, lighting, power, and more electrical duties.
5. Maintain strict compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
6. Keep detailed records of all maintenance work performed.
7. Work flexible hours to suit business requirements.
8. Be part of the out of hours call out rota and attend emergency repair works as required.
Essential Skills:
1. NVQ/City & Guilds Certificate qualifying you as an Electrician.
2. 18th Edition certification.
3. Testing & Inspection qualification.
4. Full driving license.
5. Experience of working in a customer-focused environment.

2. Standard hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday.
3. On-call retainer of £30 per day, with overtime paid if called out.
