Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Defined Benefit (DB) Pensions Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide expert advice and guidance on DB pension schemes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering high-quality service to our clients. This role offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to the growth and success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure schemes are compliant with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements, such as those set by The Pensions Regulator (TPR) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
* Client Service: Deliver exceptional client service, building strong relationships and providing tailored advice to meet their specific needs.
* Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with DB pension schemes, including funding and investment risks.
* Project Management: Lead and participate in projects related to scheme restructuring, mergers, and acquisitions.
* Technical Expertise: Stay updated on industry developments and best practices, applying this knowledge to enhance our services and solutions.
* Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, such as actuarial, investment, and administration, to ensure integrated service delivery.
Requirements
* Professional Qualifications: Actuarial or pensions-related qualifications (e.g., FIA, FSA, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
* Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a consulting environment.
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of DB pension schemes, including scheme design, funding, and regulatory requirements.
* Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders.
* Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
