We have an excellent opportunity for a Full Time, Financial Analyst to join our team based at our Head Office in Chineham, Basingstoke on a Hybrid basis. The Financial Analyst – Engineering will be responsible for providing visibility of business performance to the Engineering function across Gist, supporting Engineering business partners in their decision-making process with financial analysis and managing related budgets and forecasts.

What you'll do
Engineering
* Provide operational financial leadership to the Engineering function across Gist
* Business partner to the Head of Fleet, Head of Site Engineering & Facilities and wider Engineering team, providing financial leadership and Governance to the functions
* Support Engineering team with high-quality analysis and insight enabling robust data-led decision making
* Drive functional cost management and efficiency, providing recommendations and financial support as required, including providing support to the business cost transformation objective
* Lead the financial planning and forecasting cycles
* Ensure the accounts adhere to internal control procedures to safeguard the organisations assets and minimise risk
* Complete monthly management accounts, taking ownership of balance sheet for function where relevant
* Complete timely and accurate weekly financials – forecasting, review and action planning
* Commercial management and negotiation
Scope:
* Engineering function (circa £35m annual cost spend)
* Actual, plan and forecast information (including long term plans)
* Financial and non-financial information
* Gist internal reporting and M&S consolidated reporting
* Operational cost performance
