Your Role as a Primary SEN Class Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons that support students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and communication needs. Differentiate the primary curriculum to ensure all students can access and enjoy learning. Foster a positive and structured classroom environment, promoting independence and confidence. Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENCO and support staff. Use adaptive teaching methods, including sensory-based learning, to meet the diverse needs of students. Work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to provide a holistic approach to student support. Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring learning strategies are effective and adapted when necessary. Who We’re Looking For: ✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ✅ Experience working with students with SEN, ideally in a specialist or inclusive setting. ✅ A creative, patient, and compassionate approach to teaching. ✅ Strong knowledge of SEN strategies, differentiation, and behaviour management. ✅ Excellent communication and teamwork skills. ✅ An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
