Our client is looking to appoint a remote Financial Controller on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the Group Finance function, focusing on enhancing consolidation reporting and processes to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the preparation of the Group's consolidated monthly management accounts
* Interpret and apply accounting standards (IFRS and UK GAAP) to relevant transactions
* Prepare accounting papers and maintain Group accounting policies
* Provide guidance to finance teams and the business on complex accounting matters
* Lead the Group budgeting and forecasting processes
* Collaborate with external advisors and auditors on:
o Audits
o Tax filings
o Accounting matters and the implementation of new standards
* Prepare the Group's consolidated statutory and interim accounts
* Manage Group VAT compliance and oversee financial systems
* Supervise the intercompany reconciliation and reporting processes
* Support investor reporting and related requirements
Skills and Experience Required
* CA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, or qualified by experience
* Proven expertise in navigating technical accounting and statutory reporting requirements, including IFRS and UK GAAP, with a focus on standards such as IFRS 3, 9, 15, and 16
* Skilled in preparing consolidated and statutory accounts in compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP
* Previous experience in group or multi-entity reporting
* Proactive self-starter with a curious and analytical mindset
* Advanced proficiency in Excel
