About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and passionateSocial Workerto join ourChild Protection teamin a London Borough. In this role, you will work closely with children, families, and other agencies to ensure the welfare and safety of vulnerable children. You will be responsible for managing a caseload, conducting assessments, and working with multi-disciplinary teams to provide effective interventions and support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Complete detailed assessments of children’s needs, risks, and welfare.
* Develop and implement child protection plans to ensure children are safe from harm.
* Work with children, families, and professionals to assess and monitor progress.
* Attend and contribute to child protection meetings and reviews.
* Maintain accurate records and reports in line with local authority procedures.
* Provide support to children and families in crisis, ensuring the safety and well-being of children is a priority.
* Manage a caseload effectively and meet deadlines for reports and court proceedings.
Requirements:
* Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work or equivalent).
* HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registration.
* Extensive experience in child protection and safeguarding.
* In-depth knowledge of child protection legislation and best practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong report writing skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
