Yunex Traffic designs, markets, manufactures, installs, and maintains a wide portfolio of international traffic management products and is the UK market leader in the traffic signal business. This includes intersection and pedestrian traffic controllers, intelligent urban traffic control systems, variable message signs, public transport, and car park guidance systems to enhance road safety and improve traffic flow in congested urban and inter-urban areas.
The challenge
Part of being a #TrafficTransformer apprentice at Yunex Traffic means you get to work on real life projects whilst also being supported on a guided learning journey, and often experiencing different areas within the business.
Our apprentices get the opportunity to find their passion and in turn, we get their passion. We’re always looking for apprentices who want to make a difference to the world we live in.
This will be a 3-year apprenticeship in Poole.
The candidate
We are looking for forward-thinking, inquisitive candidates who demonstrate the following characteristics:
1. As the apprenticeship involves completing academic qualifications and occupational skills developments, you should have good organisational skills and be able to manage your time appropriately.
2. You must be willing to self-learn and research and take a creative approach to problem solving.
3. You must be a team player and be able to work independently on tasks.
4. Be proactive and keen to learn different technologies and traffic products.
5. Somone who enjoys troubleshooting and fault finding.
6. You should have good communication skills, both written and verbal
7. You should be IT literate, able to use Microsoft Office packages.
Here is what you can make a difference in:
8. Assisting Yunex Field Service Engineers with fault or issues on whole host of products.
9. Work with the Product Development team in testing and rolling out new products.
10. Become a specialist on various traffic products.
11. Learn about traffic products from street level all the way through to customers installation.
12. Maintain close working relationships with internal departments.
13. Drive through Technical Support projects.
14. Always be on the lookout for process improvements.
The location of this apprenticeship role will be: Poole.

Minimum Educational Requirements
20. Level 3 NVQ Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Recruitment Process
Interviews are likely to be held during July 2024, before the assessment centre. These interviews are typically competency based and a chance for us to find out what your motivations are for your next career.
Our Apprentices will join the business on 19th August 2024 so you must be available from this date.
