Location: Worcester (In-Person Only) Rate: £35 per hour (Self-Employed) Hours: 2 hours per week Availability: Flexible between 9:00am and 4:00pm Start Date: From 28th April 2025 DBS Requirement: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Essential) Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and patient SEN Tutor to support a student with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and a high IQ, with a particular focus on Politics. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to work one-on-one in a flexible, rewarding environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with neurodiverse learners and will be able to adapt their teaching approach to suit individual learning needs. You should be enthusiastic, supportive, and capable of nurturing the student’s strengths and interests in a structured and engaging way. Key Responsibilities: Deliver weekly 1:1 tutoring sessions in Politics (2 hours per week) Adapt lessons to suit the student's SEN profile and high intellectual potential Provide engaging and appropriately challenging political content and discussion Build a positive and supportive learning relationship Track progress and provide feedback as needed Requirements: Strong background in Politics, Government, or related fields (academic or professional) Proven experience working with SEN students Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (required) Reliable, punctual, and self-employed Able to travel to Worcester for in-person sessions Schedule: Sessions to take place anytime between 9:00am and 4:00pm on a weekday Start date: From 28th April 2025 (flexible scheduling) To Apply: Please submit your CV along with a brief cover note outlining your relevant experience, your availability, and confirmation of your DBS status.
