Teacher of Food Technology
We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional practitioner to join us as a Teacher of Food Technology on a full-time, permanent basis. We are looking to appoint an inspirational and ambitious teacher, with the necessary knowledge, expertise and experience of teaching Food Technology to KS3 and Food preparation and Nutrition to KS4 students. The ability to also teach DT and/or Textiles at KS3 will be welcomed.
The successful applicant will be an outstanding professional who is able to demonstrate high standards for teaching and learning so that students of all abilities are enthused, challenged, and motivated to succeed. They will join a vibrant and forward-thinking team, dedicated to raising aspirations and improving outcomes for our students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, resource and deliver highly effective and inspiring Food Technology lessons
* Adapt lesson content and teaching methods to respond to the strengths and needs of all students, including those with SEN and other learning challenges
* Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned students
* Promote good progress and outcomes for all students
* Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school's policies and practises
* Make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Excellent subject knowledge and expertise in teaching Food Technology
* Experience of teaching Food Technology across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
* Strong understanding of the latest teaching and learning strategies to support, and motivate students of varying abilities
* Commitment to inclusive practice and meeting the needs of all students (Experience working with SEND students is highly desirable)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
