Job Description
The Director of Finance Projects is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the Finance Systems team and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations within Turnitin. This position will report directly to the VP, Global Controller and will be instrumental in driving the transformation of finance systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Finance Transformation Leadership: Partner with the VP, Global Controller to define the future strategy for financial operations.
* System and Process Transformation: Lead an ambitious transformation initiative, reengineering finance processes and systems.
* Business Process Optimization: Manage the transition to optimized finance processes across the organization.
* Team Leadership: Oversee a team of subject matter experts across multiple regions.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the key finance contact for stakeholders across various departments.
Qualifications
Required Experience:
* 10+ Years of Finance Leadership Experience: Extensive experience in senior finance roles.
* 5+ Years in Finance Transformation & Project Management: Demonstrated success in leading large-scale finance transformation projects.
* ERP and Finance System Expertise: In-depth knowledge of ERP systems and subledger management.
* Operational KPI Design and Reporting: Strong background in designing and implementing operational financial KPIs.
* Proven Change Management Skills: Ability to lead organizational change and drive process improvement.
* Strong Analytical and Strategic Mindset: Skilled at identifying inefficiencies and developing innovative solutions.
* Excellent Communication and Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
* Experience in Scaling Finance Operations: Ability to build and adapt AR finance processes and teams.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
